Their lifespan is 15-20 years. Parrotlets are relatively quiet! They do not scream and make your ears ring as most parrots do. They do vocalize and chatter well within the decibels of comfort which make them great apartment birds. Talking ability varies however the male is more likely to vocalize and mimic. While they usually attach themselves to one person they can and should be socialized amongst other people. Their personality is pleasant and their actions proclaim them to be much larger than they actually are. They love attention and want to be a part of whatever is going on so consider them as part of the family. They are easy to care for and can be left alone for several days if need be.

We are a research and development aviary dedicated to breeding quality parrotlets. We offer to the general public our premium birds that are not retained in our breeding programs. We only breed Pacific Parrotlets, (Forpus coelestis) and specialize in select mutations. We dedicate all of our resources to this subspecies and continually invest in the genetic future of our aviary. Improving the health, size, feather and fertility of the Pacific Parrotlet mutations is a rewarding challenge. Mother Nature has given us the best to offer and we have manipulated the gene pool to create our works of art. Examples are displayed in the photo gallery.

The breeding aviary is outfitted with the latest innovations such as PVC nest boxes, Bird-Zerk feeders, individual cage full spectrum lighting, and Edstrom Water Buddy water bottles. The breeding aviary’s temperature, humidity, and photoperiod are automatically controlled to maintain a favorable breeding environment. Our parrotlets are provided fruits, vegetables,Volkman's Parrotlet Diet, Roudybush Pellets, egg food, bread, atlantic kelp, calcium plus, and cuttlebone.
  Spring water is provided as the only source of drinking water. Tap water contains chlorine, chloramines, trihalomethanes, and many other introduced chemicals and contaminants. Well water contains minerals and contaminants of unequal proportion.

We offer parent raised, hand raised, and handfed offspring of the following colors: Green, Blue, Yellow, White, Turquoise, and White Turquoise.

We are not a bird mill and only produce quality parrotlets from calculated pairings of 10-12 breeding pairs. As we evolve in our breeding program we from time to time have young proven breeding pairs available. Please contact us for availability or reservations on offspring.

Our parrotlets are closed banded with the only official sized Pacific Parrotlet band, the 3.7mm or 5/32” I.D... Open or split bands and closed bands larger than 3.7 mm (ex. 4.5 mm, Lovebird size) can be placed on and taken off of mature parrotlets. A breeder can guarantee the buyer of a bird’s age and origin if it is banded with the 3.7mm closed band while still in the nest. We guarantee our birds to be healthy.
